I needed something inexpensive, and this brut rose intrigued me, if nothing more than for the price.  However, when opening, the aroma immediately reminded me of cocoa powder, but really another sparkling brut made from Malbec.  On further inspection, I found out that the grapes used are Tempranillo.

The aroma carries, and to me conveys the smell of chocolatte dust more than anything else.  The taste, will having very subtle aspects of raspberry are still thoroughly imbued with the dust as well.  Bubbles are small and plentiful, which sets it apart from a lesser quality second fermentation process; this one is obviously done using the Charmat method.  Also, this is probably too fresh, as another component of that smell is sulphur.

Summarily, not something bad to entertain a party with, as the price makes it worth the while.
